Suspensions have been levied against senior baseball teams in Fredericton and Summerside, P.E.I., after incidents that led to a game being called off.

The Fredericton Royals and the Summerside Chevys were playing a senior baseball league game on P.E.I. on Sunday when both teams began complaining of inside pitches and players loudly exchanged words in the third inning after a player was hit by a ball.

The complaints escalated to a player threatening an umpire, so officials called the game off due to safety concerns.
